The Bee Bollard is a functional timber bollard designed to create nesting habitat for solitary bees and wasps. Of the UK's 270 bee species, most are solitary, with many reliant on pre-existing cavities in deadwood or stems to complete their lifecycles. With natural deadwood scarce, these species lack suitable nesting sites.

Made from locally sourced Douglas fir, the Bee Bollard contains precision-drilled cavities of varying sizes, replicating natural burrows with the smooth, clean surfaces essential for successful nesting. Trials with our larger Bee Posts show rapid colonisation, with multiple species nesting and cuckoo bees prospecting within the first season.

Installed like any standard bollard, it delivers habitat at scale without additional land, labour, or maintenance-transforming everyday infrastructure into biodiversity-supporting habitat.
