Futurescape 2026: Our First Year at Farnborough

Futurescape 2026 has been and gone, and what a show it was. This was the first year the event moved from London ExCeL to the Farnborough International Exhibition Centre. The move was a real success. The hall felt lively from start to finish, the layout worked well, and the organisers should be proud of what they delivered.

For anyone who couldn’t make it, here’s a look at our stand and what we had on show.

The venue deserves a mention. Farnborough is one of the UK’s best-known aviation sites, and the exhibition sits right beside the airfield. Between busy periods, you could watch aircraft landing and taking off next to the hall. It gave the show a character you simply can't replicate.

One of the highlights for us was how many people we met who we’ve seen over the past three years. It was great to catch up with them and hear how their projects are progressing, and to meet plenty of new faces too. The new venue clearly hasn’t dented the show’s pull, and the quality of conversations was excellent.

What we had on display

We brought our full range of biodiversity products to Farnborough:

  • Bee Posts: our core product, drilled timber nesting habitat for solitary bees and wasps.
  • 150mm deep Bee Post: a deeper nesting option for those looking for greater tunnel depth.
  • Educational Bee Posts: designed so people can see and learn about the life cycle of solitary bees.
  • Bee Hotels: ready-made nesting habitat for gardens, schools and landscape schemes.
  • Bee Bollard: a practical bollard that doubles as nesting habitat, ideal for public realm and amenity spaces.
  • Invertebrate Hotel: a larger-scale habitat structure supporting a wide range of invertebrates.
  • Bird Tower: dedicated nesting provision for swifts, house martins and swallows
  • Sand Planters: deep planters filled with sand, creating habitat and a striking landscape feature.
  • Habitat Signs: signage with built-in habitat, combining wayfinding with biodiversity gain.
  • Interpretation Panels: helping people understand and engage with the wildlife on their doorstep.

Two details on the stand drew a lot of attention. The first was our high-resolution video footage of bees and wasps using our products. Watching them in close-up, entering the holes and going about their business, shows exactly why our method works.

The second was our small microscope with pinned specimens. It gave visitors a chance to look closely at the insects themselves, and it led to some great conversations with architects, ecologists, landscape professionals and curious passers-by.

Thank you

A huge thank you to the Futurescape team for putting on such a brilliant show in its new home. It’s a fantastic event for the industry. Thanks also to everyone who stopped by the stand.

If you missed us, or want to talk about how our products could work on your next scheme, get in touch. We’d love to hear from you.
